The Panasonic Lumix DMC G3 is a small, compact Four Thirds camera, with interchangeable lenses. I usually shoot with Canon SLR’s, but I purchased the Lumix for travel, and hiking. This camera is very functional, and it is so light and compact you can take it anywhere. These are some low light photos, taken with available light watching the band Pulsate perform recently. These were taken at 6400 ISO, and as you can see, they have minimal grain.

The Lumix G3 also does HD video, so with the compact size you can get still photos, and video from one camera.  Another bonus for hiking and travel.

I’ll post more photos taken with this camera as I learn more about what this camera can do.  More photos from the Pulsate show are on my Flickr stream.

I also have to give credit to the band Pulsate for putting on a great show.  A mix of classic rock, blues, and even a little county kept the crowd at Knoxies Pub in Pompey NY up and on their feet!!  I’ve been following this band for a few years now, and they always put on a great show.  Looking forward to the next time they are in the area.  To learn more about Pulsate, visit their web site at pulsaterocks.com.
